Urban Agriculture and Education Center

ARCH 212 - Design Studio 3

Fabiola Forli’s project envisions an urban farm building that connects food production, education, and community in the heart of San Bernardino. The design integrates greenhouses, classrooms, and gathering spaces under one roof, using passive ventilation, water collection, and modular construction to create a climate-responsive facility. It demonstrates how architecture can cultivate environmental awareness while addressing local food insecurity.

In a city of sun and hard ground, Fabiola Forli imagines architecture as cultivation. Her urban farm building grows both food and community — a place where learning, nourishment, and landscape intertwine beneath a structure that breathes with the climate.
